Itinerary
Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica, take taxi/shuttle to our recommended hotel which has an in-house restaurant, gym and swimming pool.
Fly directly to Drake Bay and take the arranged taxi to your chosen hotel. Relax, snorkel, horseback ride, do a canopy tour or take a hike. Tours for the day you arrive must be arranged ahead of time.
Dolphin and Whale Encounter. Tour starts at 8:00 am and ends between 1:30 and 2:30 pm depending on what we see. Lunch is on the boat. Tours are guided by Sierra, who has over 24 years guiding dolphin and whale encounters and is the founder of Vida Marina and The Divine Dolphin. See our “Day Tour” section for a list of species you might see during your chosen dates.
Corcovado National Park – After an early breakfast, you leave for Corcovado National Park. The crown jewel of Costa Rica’s rainforests and the most biologically intense place on earth, Corcovado is home to 400 species of birds, 140 mammals, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, 500 species of trees and 6000 species of insects. Corcovado National Park protects several endangered species including jaguar, puma, scarlet macaw, crocodiles, tapir, poison dart and golden frogs and the harpy eagle. Turtles lay their eggs on the beaches. Our experienced guide will help you to see and identify the amazing amount of animals, trees and plants found here. Hike through the rich rainforest and see for yourself what Costa Rica is most famous for. Lunch is served at the Ranger’s Station. You will return to your hotel between 1:00 and 2:00 pm
Free day to relax, snorkel, horseback ride, do a canopy tour or take a hike. You might even want to return to Corcovado or do another Dolphin and Whale tour.
Snorkeling tour to beautiful Caño Island, 12 miles from the coast of Drake Bay. The boat leaves between 7:30 am and 8:00 am for a 45 minute boat ride to the island. You will snorkel at two different spots with lots of corals and fish. You will then leave for San Josecito Beach where you will have lunch and snorkel some more. Return to your hotel between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
