Join us for a professionally guided tour into the heart of Corcovado National Park, often called “the most biologically intense place on Earth.” After an early breakfast, you’ll set out on a 45-minute boat ride from Drake Bay to the Sirena Ranger Station, world-renowned for its abundance of wildlife.
What You’ll See
Corcovado is home to:
- 400 bird species (including scarlet macaws, toucans, harpy eagles)
- 140 mammals (including jaguar, puma, tapir, monkeys, sloths, anteaters)
- 116 amphibians & reptiles (frogs, lizards, snakes, crocodiles)
- 500 species of trees and 6,000 insects
It is possible to encounter: squirrel, spider, howler & white-faced monkeys, two- & three-toed sloths, tapirs, peccaries, coatimundis, crocodiles, agoutis, butterflies, golden-orb spiders, owls, hawks, and much more.
Tour Details
Departure: 6:00 am or 8:15 am (depending on ticket availability)
Return: approx. 2:00 pm or 4:30 pm
Lunch served at the Sirena Ranger Station
Activity Level: Medium (several hours of guided rainforest hiking with breaks)
What to Bring
Sandals (not flip flops) or water shoes for beach landings
Hiking or tennis shoes for the trails
Shorts, t-shirt, and quick-dry clothing
Rain gear, sunblock, insect repellent
Refillable water bottle (no single-use plastics)
